Every year, DfE Capital works with over 50 different suppliers spanning the length and breadth of the country to deliver over £2.5bn of high profile and demanding programmes and projects to help to improve the condition of the school estate and ensure there is a school place for every child. On 18 September 2019 the first event of its kind, the DfE held a Capital Supplier Recognition Awards event, designed to recognise and celebrate the best performing suppliers on those frameworks and programmes.
The event was well attended by representatives from the Construction Frameworks and Component Modular frameworks and only a small number of awards were presented to those suppliers who had demonstrated excellence in performance.
Caledonian was awarded the “Collaboration on the Component Framework” accolade in recognition of our pro-active, positive and co-operative approach to working with the DfE. Lord Agnew, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the DfE, presented the award and in an opening address reinforced the desire of the DfE to continue the commitment to Modern Methods of Construction in the delivery of education projects.
